Who is this program for:
The purpose of the Diploma in HIV management is to encourage postgraduate training in the field of HIV management and to improve the standards of medical practise and patient care in rural and urban communities outside the larger training centres. It is aimed primarily at doctors who wish to improve their basic clinical skills and competence in the diagnosis and management of HIV/AIDS.

The Diploma of HIV Management is offered as on outcome assessment by the College of Family Medicine, under the CMSA. It is usually written twice a year (Feb/March and July/Aug) and is not linked to a specific university or training course. It’s focus is the knowledge and understanding of the management of the patient with HIV in the primary, CHC, GP and district hospital setting.

This resource is meant for medical doctors planning to write the Diploma in HIV Management exam since candidates are expected to facilitate their own learning, both whilst seeing patients and through reading and studying. Clinicians interested in improving their HIV knowledge are welcome.
